Classroom management is one of the most important things that teachers need to consider and carefully plan about because it really affects pupils' performance in the class. Promoting a well-organized plan and structured classroom will not only make the discussion starts well but also ends with a smooth conclusion while its objectives are met.

A flexible classroom will also give pupils the freedom to move comfortably and let their own curiosity lead them to discover other learning activities. Time management has never become less important in any job especially in teaching because for sure, there will be such a various activities all throughout the year so a careful and wise scheduling of the time is needed to ensure that the certain objectives of the school will be met at the right time . The less the time is wasted then the more extra time will be earned which will help make the school more productive. Record keeping is also what a teacher needs to maintain. Just like the Daily Attendance, he should check daily the attendance of his pupils and by that, in case of some irregular absences, he can then easily trace it. Moreover, a pupils' progress must also be observed and recorded. In fact, I learned that this is the most important responsibility of a teacher because this matter will serve a gate pass whether a pupil can't or can step on into the next grade level. It is also necessary to observe cleanliness inside and outside classroom and to observe proper arrangement of the seats and other furniture and instructional materials, in this way the classroom will become more attractive and comfortable to stay in. Even if a classroom is very well organized and clean but if the pupils don’t apply it in their behavior and attitude, it will still result in chaos environment that is why part of a good management is Discipline.

Another way that contributes to a good management in a classroom is through establishing routine, this is just somewhat similar to scheduling. Again, a teacher should be knowledgeable enough on how to arrange school or class activities according to its appropriate time in such a way that it cannot affect class hours and other important event in school. Through these mentioned organizational plans, a smooth and good classroom management is assured.

Acquiring Learning VS. Getting High Grades

So many students are too much pressured of getting good grades. As early as elementary school, children already feel the tension of being pushed by their parents to maintain good grades to become an honor student, get recognized and get awards. Grades are important because they tell us how well we did on our exams and assignments, but is that really all? What’s really the essence of education? Is it about getting good grades or acquiring learning? As a student, in your own opinion, what matters more?
Some students often assume these value of numbers to define their own self-worth and success. How sad is that thinking right? It seems like our future lies on our grades, like if we get good grades then we get good job, then make a lot of money, build house, support our own family financially and send our kids to school. So, some think that the most important thing to do is get high grades. But I realize that, grades don’t really matter in terms of defining who you are, who you will become, how far you can achieve and will not entirely define what your capacities and skills are. Grades are just numbers, these will not measure your intelligence nor determine your success. Remember that those successful people didn’t usually get good grades, their focus is simply placed on learning with passion, understanding the world around them and knowing themselves better and because of that, they achieve self-improvement, progress and they are more capable of doing things than those top students. Take Bill Gates as an example, a dropout student from Harvard University, now listen to his quote, “I failed in some subjects in exam, but my friend passed in all. Now, he is an engineer in Microsoft and I am the owner of Microsoft”. They don’t care so much about having mistakes in exams but rather on acquiring learning from those mistakes and I think they know much better the purpose of education.
Education is supposed to be enjoyed not to be stressed about, learning is supposed to be fun not to be a burden, a burden that may lead students to cheat due to pressure even if they know it’s wrong and even if they don’t want it to do. Dreaming to be successful in your career has never become a bad thing but, if you drain yourself in focusing to get good grades not in learning, therefore, you miss the point of education. Well, I’m not encouraging you to stop aiming and working hard for good grades. Again, grades are good to help us assess the quality of our work but we should make sure that we also hit the point of education which is, learning and learning how to learn with great passion. But I am encouraging all those who usually fail in exams to still keep yourself up, know that, you are more than your grade. All of us are more than our grades. As future educators, let’s bring some change, change in the traditional grading system, the (A, B, C, D, F) for elementary students. It may be difficult but in order for us to accurately assess how well our students learn, then we also need to assess how well these pupils apply their knowledge.
